How do I know if I am eligible for membership?
Membership is open to those having the following common bond:

  • Persons who reside, work, or worship within the school districts of the State of Washington
  • Persons who reside, work, or worship within Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Benewah, Shoshone, Latah, Nez Perce, and Lewis County of Idaho
  • Persons who reside, work, or worship within Missoula, Granite, Lake, Mineral, Powell, Ravalli, Sanders
  • Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of the Credit Union; employees of the Credit Union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment; members of their immediate families, and organizations of such persons.
  • Federal employees living or working in Region One of the United States Forest Service.

How do I become a member?
To fill out an application, please stop by your local branch and talk with a member service representative. Click here for branch locations and hours.

How do I open a checking account?
You have the option of opening a checking account when you apply for membership with Horizon Credit Union.

For those that are already members you simply need to fill out the "update account information" application located online, contact a member service representative at (800) 852-5316 or stop by a local branch.  Click here  for branch locations and hours.

How do I set up direct deposit?
Getting started with direct deposit is easy; click here to download a direct deposit form, fill out your account information and turn it in to your employer. Once your employer has processed your form, your next paycheck will be directly deposited into your specified account.

Do you offer overdraft protection?
Yes. Here at Horizon we believe members deserve some consideration before we return insufficient funds. For more information on our Overdraft Privilege visit the ODP! page located under the services  tab.

Can I access my accounts online?
Most definitely! All members with a Horizon account are able to access it online, wherever they are, whenever they want. 

What is Homebanking?
Homebanking is our online banking platform. This is a free service that allows you to check account balances, make loan payments, or transfer funds between accounts. You can even download up to 120 days worth of account history into your own personal financial software such as Microsoft Money® or Quicken®.

Do you offer online Bill Payer?
Yes. This free service allows you to pay your bills online. You can set up one time payments or a reoccurring schedule.

I do not remember my Homebanking password. How do I find out what it is?
Call a member services representative at (800) 852-5316.

Can I stop receiving paper statements?
Yes, in fact we encourage members to track and print their own statements through the Homebanking system. Simply choose "Online Statements" while in Homebanking and agree to the terms. You'll automatically gain access to up a years worth of statements online.

What kind of loans do you offer?
We offer consumer loans, home loans, personal lines of credit and credit cards. Consumer loans include autos, boats and fun loans and home loans feature traditional home equity loans and the Horizon Homeline Flex, a home equity line of credit (HELOC). The Homeline Flex allows you to choose between fixed and variable rates. Horizon also has a wide variety of VISA credit cards, all with great low, fixed rates and no hidden fees. Can I apply for a loan online?
Yes! You can apply for any loan online by choosing the "Apply Now" option under the loans tab or by clicking here.

Can I apply for a Horizon auto loan while at a dealership?
Yes, we offer onsite dealer financing through Credit Union Direct Lending® (CUDL). CUDL allows the dealer to work with directly with you. You can apply for a Horizon auto loan right at their dealership in a matter of minutes.

Do you have a list of dealerships where I can purchase from?
To find a local participating dealership, simply call the dealership locator at 888-CUDIRECT, or visit the CUDL  website.
