We offer a full range of free, engaging educational programs that are designed to teach personal financial literacy to all grade levels. If you are a school teacher, youth director, or troop leader and are interested in promoting financial education, contact our relationship management officer at jallison@hzcu.org or 509-755-3068. Below you will find descriptions for some of the educational opportunities we offer! If you don't see the topic you are looking for, just ask us. We can customize a presentation to meet your specific need. Financial Fieldtrips Interested in learning about what check cashing means, or what a certificate of deposit is? How about how to find the rates on a credit card and how to compare them? Horizon's financial field trips take students to one of our 16 branch locations to learn first hand about basic financial information. Some topics covered include: saving and investing, checking account management, certificates of deposits and the loan application process. | Spend, Save, Share - Grades K-5 In this presentation, elementary school students learn the valuable principles of balancing spending, saving, and sharing money. Each student receives a MoonJar designed with three compartments to help them implement these important lessons at home. |

At the end of each school year we recognize outstanding students who have demonstrated these values with a CODE I Award. Awards are handed out at a recognition assembly, school board meeting, or year-end ceremony. |
