Stay up to date on the journey during your membership transition from Icon to Horizon. Below you can get a bird's eye view of your membership transition, but we will be communicating each of these with you through letters, email and the Transition Guide booklet being sent to your mailing address.

Legal Merger

Welcome Letter

Check your mailbox for your welcome letter that outlines key communication dates.


Look for your first HZCU newsletter via email.


Check your mail for your Transition Guide

Your transition guide will lead you through every piece of the conversion process. You can look for specific dates and actions to take to help ensure a smooth journey.

Members with home loans – check your mail

A series of letters will arrive that explains the transition to Horizon's mortgage loan servicer.


Check your mail for your new member number

Temporary checks

All members with an active checking account will get 3 temporary checks via mail as well as instructions on how to order a free box of checks. This mail piece also includes Horizon’s routing number and information to help you switch any direct deposits and automatic payments.

Last day for MoneyPass ATM usage

Beginning Monday, October 12, you will have access to nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through the network of CO-OP ATMs.
Find an ATM near you on our locations page by selecting the box for "Surcharge-Free ATMs".

Visa® points credit card info arriving

We will provide you information about how your points will convert and how to access them.

Loan payments info

Info will be arriving for all members with loans.

22 Oct

Last day for Icon bill pay changes

Beginning Monday, November 2, your payments will automatically transfer to Horizon’s system. We encourage you to print out your payees, including full account number, prior to October 30 so that you can review your payments and ensure all information has successfully migrated.

Begin using Horizon's debit & credit card protection app

A letter will arrive that contains information on how to access our card protection app called Card Valet. Any changes or updates required will be outlined in this letter.

Last day for Icon mobile deposit
10 pm MT

30 Oct

Branches close and last day for online banking

Over the weekend employees will be working diligently to migrate your information and accounts into Horizon’s systems. Some systems, such as online banking, will be unavailable for a period of time during this transfer. Branches will reopen November 2.



2 Nov

Conversion Complete

Access to all branch locations begins – you'll now be able to use any branch from Boise, ID to Ephrata, WA to Butte, MT!
Check out our interactive locations map!

Start using Horizon checks and direct deposit – you will now be able to use Horizon checks and set up direct deposit to your account.

Loan payments to Horizon – begin sending loan payments to Horizon.

Online banking sign up – sign in for the first time! See your transition guide and email communications to learn more.


1 Feb

Icon ACH cut off & last day for Icon checks

We'll be able to accept automatic deposits and withdrawals made under your old Icon accounts through Monday, February 1.
