Effective July 10, 2024: If you have lost your card, a new digital card can be sent directly to your device’s wallet. Contact us at 800.852.5316 during regular business hours to request a digital card. A new physical card will follow a few days later.
Tap To Pay
Your contactless card must be within 2 inches of the terminal for the transaction to take place. And you won’t be billed twice, even if you accidentally tap twice.
Tap to Pay is built into the chip itself. However, cardholders are not required to use that function and can use the chip as they normally do.
Visa contactless transactions generate a one-time, transaction-specific code. Due to the nature of the code and additional fraud protection processes built into the Visa® network, it is difficult to use skimmed cardholder information for fraudulent purchases. As a result, fraud from skimming is very unlikely and limited in scope.
Contactless payments, including Visa® contactless cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay, use the same NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. Samsung Pay, however, works with both NFC technology and MST (Magnetic Secure Transition) technology, which can be used anywhere you can swipe.
Yes! A one-time code is generated every time a contactless card is used, making it extremely effective in reducing counterfeit fraud.
Tap To Pay cards will be issued in June of 2024 as part of our card upgrade. All new cards issued after July 9, 2024 will include Tap To Pay technology.
