Horizon Credit Union Employees Across Four States Unite for Annual Go. Give. Grow. Event

Spokane Valley, WA — Horizon Credit Union will once again step away from its desk and into the community for its annual Go. Give. Grow. Event on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, mobilizing employees across four states to volunteer with local nonprofit organizations and community partners.

As Horizon’s largest volunteer initiative of the year, Go. Give. Grow. brings team members together to support causes that align with the credit union’s community impact pillars: health, hunger and education. This year, Horizon employees will volunteer with 22 organizations serving communities throughout their region.

“At Horizon, putting people over profits isn’t just a philosophy, it’s a commitment we live out every day,” said Kathleen Makena, AVP of Community Development at Horizon Credit Union. “Go. Give. Grow. gives our team the opportunity to step into the community, lend a helping hand and strengthen the partnerships that help individuals and families thrive. When we invest our time in the people and organizations making a difference, our communities grow stronger together.”

Since launching Go. Give. Grow. in 2018, Horizon has continued to expand its community impact. The first event included volunteer projects at 13 locations. In 2025, employees contributed more than 1,400 volunteer hours across 20 nonprofit sites, and the organization hopes to make an even greater impact in 2026.
